My Top 10 Favorite Albums of All Time - Christmas Edition
Totally off-topic. Just wanted to share.
Man vs Machine pitted the amazing beatbox talents of Kid Beyond against Salt Lake City's best scratch turntablists, Steez and Diggabeatz. Steez and Digga warmed up the crowd, finishing out their set with an improvised jam made from layered elements using four turntables and Serato Scratch.
When they were done, they went head to head with Kid Beyond, who had a beatbox answer for every scratch, breakbeat, backspin, and drum and bass loop they could throw at him. After a while, the turntablists bowed out and let Kid play his set... but there was no clear winner.
Well, I suppose there was... The audience! It was the best show I've seen all year. I was blown away, and looking around, there was no shortage of jaw dropping in the audience. What a show!

Six VC tables. Lots of brave entrepreneurs looking for funding. Which of these fledgling companies will get funded? The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Utah. At the Funding Universe speed pitching event, entrepreneurs have seven minutes to pitch their business plan, answer questions, and get valuable feedback from investors. From the perspective of an entrepreneur, I learned a lot about the importance of having your elevator pitch down pat, having good answers for important questions, and networking.

One Giving World hosted it's second annual charity shopping event at Lolabella Boutique on Sunday, December 2nd. One giving world has been actively developing small villages in Cambodia, which often have inadequate family shelters, and few economic resources.
One Giving World helps families in Cambodia earn money using indigenous resources, to purchase land and build homes that can withstand Cambodia's harsh weather, among other things. Cambodian silk products are imported and sold in America at quality boutique stores.
The 2007 Ladies Night Out: Shop for a Cause event was sponsored by Da-Nang, Indochine Vietnamese Bistro, Lifestyle Salon / Aveda / Fashionplace Mall.
Honey was a ton of fun! All the DJ's did a great job. The crowd was into it. I had a great time, and it was good to see some old friends I haven't seen in a while. Anyway, enjoy the photos!
